Tequilla Gundam basically was threatening to cause a flame war and turn "this topic into hell".

You were here for last topic, right? I can turn this topic into a
500 post flame fest against me at my will. Don't direct me and I won't
direct you. Hell, I bet I get some responses from just responding to
your post. That's how damn influential I am in this topic.
Saved because someone in the last topic quoted him verbatim. I wouldn't doubt that this lil' number was the one that put him over the top.

Well now that Tequilla 'I Need Attention' Gundam has been eliminated...
Tomorrow is one of the matches that will eventually bring me glory...Zelda and Vivi :)
Look for the writeup later today from yours truly! :)

Man, I love how people are saying that Snake is sucking it up. He's
going to finish anywhere from 84-85% in this match, which is what
anybody should have reasonably expected from this match.

People don't understand how weak Tanner actually was. No other
character should EVER perform as horribly as he did. He is a generic
character from a game that is HARDLY popular on GameFAQS.
On top of that, he has entirely NO look going for him. He looks like an random guy in a suit, and it wasn't even that detailed a pic. He could be your across the street neighbor, or the guy that works in the men's department at Macy's. I could DRAW a made-up character and I guarantee that my drawing would get more votes than Tanner.
Any character like Manny or ANY type of cartoonish character will draw at least SOME votes due to having a distinct look...
That being said, Snake is doing fine in this match. As long as he got over 80%, I didn't think this match would show anything beneficial. I'd rather weigh in how he does against Vivi/Zelda before I judge him...

avoid the tripling, mark my words.

As a matter of fact, the only people who I think would have a good
chance of beating Snake outside of the "noble nine" are Zero,
Ganondorf, Magus, Auron, and Bowser (who is my upset special). Also if
Vincent and Tifa are as strong as I think they are, then they should
also be able to beat Snake.
I draw my line at Ryu... I don't think Ryu will be able to take a close match...

1) You're an alt, I know, but at least Talib Kweli's a great rapper.
2) Tequilla's not exactly here right now; him winning is out of the question.
3) This is the first time I've seen you in the stats-topic, so, while it's NOBODY's stats-topic so much as it is all of ours, it's certainly not yours.
...and, here's the big one...
4) So grow up and drop it, T4lib. You are ruining my stats topic.
I hate to mark, I really do, but if I see any more off-topic posts/challengings like this ("So grow up and drop it, Steve."), I'm gonna do my part to get it out. Ulti, Chichiri, Tequila, JonDoe1234...don't care who; I just wanna see this senseless-ness end.

Yuri would be projected to get 10.02% on 2k4 Link... I just don't think
we're getting a contest where no one is projected to get less than 10%
on the champ, ever. Sora needs 82.46% to send 47 under 10%, and 82.42%
to have Yuri over 47. I think he can manage that.

Agent 47 with 25.47% of the vote. Book it. And no, I'm not even a Hitman fan, I just have a feeling he'll surprise us all.
Um... how high does that put him in the stats? I want to see how ridiculous that prediction actually is.

I draw my line at Ryu... I don't think Ryu will be able to take a close match...
Snake put a decent hurt on Ryu back in '03; I'm not really sure how well they'd fare if they squared off again today. I'd presume somewhere around 54/46 as a final.
I'm interested in seeing Solid square off versus a Nintendo character, which - unless something freakish happens - should occur at least once in this tournament.

character, which - unless something freakish happens - should occur at
least once in this tournament.
Freakish? Zelda's gonna have to fight hard to face him next round, and Bowser's gonna have to fight hard twice...and nevermind the fact that Solid could go down before the Gear and Dream division champs face each other, too. It would be somewhat surprising to see neither get to face him, but it's anything but freakish.

The prediction puts Agent 47 at 14.73% on 2k3 Link, above Freeman, below Lara Croft.
There's nothing wrong with that from where I stand. 47 will pull that one off.

Zelda would have to lose to Vivi, and Snake would have to lose to

unlikely, but at least possible.
And it's pretty obvious who that alt is, at least to me. So just ignore him.

I'll admit, Manny is doing better than I thought, but Manny does indeed

And I predict tomorrow's match 51-49% with Vivi winning. It could go either way and it's not going beyond 52% for whoever wins.

Yeah, and the Hitman series has one. The games have sold decently well, I think.
Indeed. The original Hitman sold over a million copies and Hitman 2 sold 600,000 copies, both in America alone.
Driv3r, the game Tanner comes from, didn't even sell 500,000 copies in America. So, that goes to show the difference.

Except that Tequilla said on LL that he has no alts, Ulti
Oh, so it must automatically be true. My mistake.

Laharl over 47 is a given? You could've fooled me.
Me too.
The only thing I'm feelin' certain about anymore with Neo-Tanner is that he's gonna be a good bit weaker than HK-47...but he may avoid the tripling afterall. I'm still bankin' on him coming short of it though; probably about 23%.

And 47 has some pretty badass quotes.
Tanner . . . I would assume is a mute.

You're telling me "Agent 47" is as generic a name as "Tanner"? Not a
chance. Tanner's generic just because it's just a name. Agent 47 is intended to sound generic, and in doing so, it's not. I know that sounds weird, but it's true.
His match picture is also about 10x better than Tanner's, he looks less generic too if you ask me. At least some could say he looks "badass"... say that about Tanner with a straight face.

I would assume that half of Tanner's votes came from those who confused
him with Danny Tanner from Full House, and the other half were Snake
anti-votes.

From what I've read, Tanner was actually pretty cool in the first two Driver games, but the third ruined his character.

Wait, Laharl over Agent 47 a given? That's hardly the case. People really shouldn't expect Agent 47 to be that
low. Sheesh, it isn't as though no one has heard about him. He'll be
far above the likes of Tanner. You can't even compare those two.

Tanner looks completely bad-ass.
Heh, it's alot easier to type with a straight face than say with a straight face. =P

I played the first Driver game, though none of the actual main story.
It was more fun just to drive around and evade the cops than it was to
play the actual game itself. The free-roaming was better.
Never played Driv-three-r though.

I got a question: if Manny = Guybrush and we assume that Solid gained
strength from every bit of the rest of the extra percentage he has on
Manny, where would that put him against Link 2k4?

XD
Anyway, I don't think Agent 47 will be anywhere as weak as Tanner. He's got a cool picture, cool name, and has been in a few commercials in the past. I see a tripling from Sora, but not 80%.

That, uh, depends. Snake's projected to get 82.27% unadjusted and 84.05% adjusted. So at this point in time, through his adjusted ranking, he's dropped.
