People actually CARE about Manny. You cant say the same about Guybrush.
I care about Guybrush. He doesn't deserve the ridicule... well, yes he does, but because that's his role.

I think Tanner just got unlucky with Snake. Not saying he isnt a weak
bastard, but they basically appeal to similiar fanbases. Also Solid
Snake one of those few characters who I think doesnt get antivoted a
whole hell of a lot.

Isn't Guybrush the "insult duel" guy from Monkey Island? I've actually
heard of him before the contests if that is the case, and I think the
Monkey Island fanbase pretty well adores the guy. (I haven't done much
research on this, though)
Grim Fandango seems like Monkey Island, but more cult.
This is how I see it:
Jin Kazama
Agent 47
Yuri Hyuga
Manny Tanner
But I wouldn't be surprised to see Agent 47 above Jin. He might get disturbingly close to Joanna Dark and/or Conker. I'm calling it right here.

Ah, well that can only help Guybrush I guess. In any case, I've
actually heard of Monkey Island before these contests, I can't say the
same of Grim Fandango.
And yeah, I agree about Tanner. If he was up against Link he wouldn't be the super fodder we all know and love, he'd just be really crappy normal fodder. He might have even been able to get a double digit X-Stats score had he faced Link. Or pretty close, at least. Fodder needs the anti-votes. That's what they live on. That's why I'm calling Snake vs Manny as 90.xx for Snake.

I'm thinkin' Jin's gonna be just above Terry...certainly not worth
having a parade for, but it'll keep him plenty far away from being THAT
weak.
Jin is not going to nail 19%+ on Sonic.
I see him in the 15% range. I'm sorry. Tekken's just not big here. If anything Terry's at least been boosted because of Capcom crossovers.

Just funny, I also think Lloyd = Vyse is the absolute floor for Lloyd.
Even there, Wesker took a 4% increase in less than 3 months for no
apparent reason.

I'd easily take Lloyd over Vyse, regardless of how weak he looks. I'm
thinking Wesker got fluked vs Kefka. In fact, I'd put him around
Viewtiful Joe from last year. We'll see next round if I have any
credibility, though.

I still see something fishy with Vyse. A game that sold almost twice as
much, has a bigger fanbase here, much more recent even in comparision.
Either Lloyd is that weak because no one likes him or we are in for
another surprise when he faces Zero.

to be uber-fodder statistically, you have to be an unknown character
that isn't cult. you also have to face someone who will get 90% on you
and will then lose badly to someone else. Tanner pulled this off
brilliantly.

Well, Amano has actually done art for all of the FF games, though they're not all "official" like FFVI's is.
Hmmm. I didn't know that.
Actually, at his website (amanosworld.com), there's a few things that are decent. His FF6 work though...just abominable.

Lloyd doesn't seem to be as dominant a favorite with the ToS fanbase as
Vyse is with SoA's... or even a favorite at all (at least not by much).
I'm guessing Auron has 87.25% of the brackets behind him.

happened when Lloyd performs well against Zero, showing that Wesker was

I don't think Frog could clear 60% on anyone but fodder, but could get
up to 40% on elite characters. I wouldn't be surprised if Frog gets 40%
on Samus, making Riku look stronger than Sora.
I wonder if the same applies to Lloyd, cause there's no way he's equal to Mithos.
