That's those choice people assuming Big Boss had any strength whatsoever.

Slowflake: It's a Dark Samus scenario. Aside from some storyline, Big Boss is wholly unimportant in the three MGS games. This match today really doesn't impress me at all.

Tales of Symphonia

Yeah, forgot about that one. That trap scene, especially Genis's part, were just crazy.

If people were playing for the action, they'd stick with Splinter Cell.

Yeah right. The controls are garbage.

I'd go with Splinter Cell strictly because of the Mega64 videos.

Of course, I hate stealth games anyway.

Glad you pointed it out to me.

And um...Auron sure is owning. Still can't believe people had BB pegged between 35-40% on Auron.

Watching Heroic Mario trying to justify his Bowser > Snake pick is fun

It probably is pretty funny reading what will be the eventual truth. Although even with my ability to create joy by explaining what will happen in the future, it still doesn't compare when I read anything you say. Some may hate, but I just smile.

I disliked both MGS2 (the only one I've played) and SC. I don't like that genre, and the approximately 2 hours of cutscene before the first level of MGS2 was disheartening for me. I can't stand that kind of game.

Neither can I, especially after his picture. Judging from other MGS characters, I figured it was pretty evident that Big Boss wouldn't be very strong at all.

K, I added a page for acronyms, percentages, and odd matches. I'll put a ton of stuff on there later (and explain the acronyms that are currently posted), and if any of you have suggestions, fire away.

Currently, these are the matches I plan on putting on that page (note that the matches explained in the acronyms, such as the entire West Division 2002, will not be in this section):

Mario/Cloud 2002
Sephiroth/Liquid 2005
Mega Man/Tidus 2004

Any others?

I'm still confident in Ganondorf, especially with the voting slump today.

It's not Auron's fault he's not facing a Nintendo character. Honestly, come his match against Ganon, he won't have any problem pulling in enough votes against him.

Look back at 2003. Ganon/Tidus was EASILY the highest voted match of the first round. Magus/Sam Fisher? The only match lower than that the entire contest was Gordon/Max, and only by a few hundred votes. What happens? Magus wins.

Auron will be fine.

Eh, the only problem with that is that there isn't any other data that proves that that match was an anomaly. Sephy blowing out Liquid and FF7 blowing out MGS aren't really the same thing, right? >_>

Ganondorf vs Magus 2k3 comes close. Ganondorf only got 2000 votes less than Magus against a stronger opponent for their first round matches.
