Maleficient's dragon form only takes a long time because your opportunities to attack are few and far between.

I can generally beat Riku's second fight in one or two tries now. I just love the tension of the one-on-one duel.

The fight with Dragon Maleficent was just one of those endurance battles, similar to the Rock Titan. They weren't hard at all... they just took a long time.

At least the fight with Riku kept you on your toes. You always have the threat of losing if you aren't careful. Same with the fight with Sephiroth. I love games/fights like that. Even if you know exactly what to do, there still is a threat of losing. I think ALL games should be made with that in mind...

The fights with Riku were easy. I seriously don't get why there is so much complaining about them. Just equip all of those abilities that give you MP whenever you take damage so you can almost infinitely cure yourself. MP Rage, I think it's called? I really need to replay KH.

There's also a wonderful little ability called Counter that just made that fight a joke to me. It makes you faster than him if you mash X fast enough, because you'll be locking swords quite a lot.

This is quite true, though I still like Magus's battle a little more if for no other reason than the fact that he just whipped my ass in the FFC version of the game.

Speaking of which, was I dreaming when I played CT on the SNES and found every boss fight that gave me issues in FFC to be very simple? I even recently compared the Lavos fights with two near identical parties on the different versions, and the attack patterns were different. I think the bosses in FFC were beefed up a little.

Kingdom Hearts was one of those "easy, but I love it anyway" type of games. Much like SOTN.
