Not the way we've seen Samus perform in the past.

I don't see why Mario can't be stronger than Samus this year. Mario have had 10000 new games after the last contest, that has to give him a minimum boost. Samus was under Mario in the 2003 Xstats and Crono got SFF'D by Link (Nah he didn't, but i he didn't then why would Megaman get SFF'D).

Anyway go Frog, beat up Riku tomorrow.

My biggest predictions: Mario over Samus, Alucard over Sora, Magus over Dante.

It doesn't matter how Joanna did, what Samus is doing is a complete letdown. Sure, it's the first round and how hard you beat fodder means little (Snake/Tanner, anyone?), but Yuri almost hanging with the likes of Lara Croft and Sam Fisher... I mean, at least more than 10 people heard of these two.

Oh, and 53% of people picked Lloyd? Haha, serves you right for laughing at CJ pickers.

Yoblazer is officially THE MAN for beating us all in SpC2K5!!

I am actually a wee bit disappointed in Samus' showing. Solid and Mega Man have proven that 90/10 blowouts can happen, and I would think the perfect storm of Samus' title run and Shadow hearts obscurity would lead to the hammering. Aah well, this makes me feel a bit better about Mario>Samus, as I think Joanna would definitely hammer Yuri, and the closer Yuri gets to Joanna, the better Mario looks in my mind.

People say she's underperforming for some reason. But if we assume a static Samus from last year, and she makes 87%, which at this rate she'll get close to it at least, it puts Yuri in the bottom 15 character contest characters of all time. Discounting some of the villains anyway.
