Lloyd's about to extend to 300.

I believe this will settle to around 54.5% by the end...

It's hard to believe that Lloyd would be weaker than Mithos.

Reminds me of the whole Nemesis/Wesker debacle. Except that I was a lot more willing to believe that Lloyd>Mithos than Wesker>Nemesis.

But still, it woudn't be the first thing that has totally defied our expectations in that kind of manner.

As for this Wesker pic, I agree with Haste2. He does look decently cool here. Certainly way better than faded-out Lloyd.

Wouldn't do a thing. He's not someone who needs as much name recognition as possible.

Still, the only time that a villain has ever been shown to be stronger than the hero is 2k2 Sephy, and even that's debatable. It would go against almost everything that has ever been seen in the contests before.

It seems the random insanity from Spring 2005 has carried over.

Now watch Knuckles beat Magus, then Squall, then Vincent, then score 45% on Crono. I'd laugh my ass off.

Reminds me of the whole Nemesis/Wesker debacle. Except that I was a lot more willing to believe that Lloyd>Mithos than Wesker>Nemesis.

That's a pretty good idea. How about this: Wesker is stronger than Nemesis and just randomly underperformed in the Spring contest. As a side effect this brings Lloyd above Mithos. Now everything is good again. =D

okay, so here are the options:

1.) Kefka overperforming on Wesker
2.) Mithos overperforming on Kefka
3.) Wesker overperforming on Lloyd (thus far)
4.) Lloyd just sucking an incredible amount of ass
5.) Sp2k5 being completely nonsensical

I've gotta believe it's some kind of combination of the bunch. this can't all be Lloyd.

...screw this, I'm going to play ff1.

most non-main characters show strength increases after they've been exposed to a year of the contest. it's not unreasonable that wesker is doing well, even with lloyd above mithos. the more a character is exposed to the contest the better or worse they'll do based on how successful they've been in the past. the x-stats can't be right all the time, because we don't get constant results. mario and crono faced each other 3 times with 2 different sets of results. knuckles and snake faced each other 3 times with 3 different sets of results. non-fodder characters that don't win matches are bound to grow in strength as they continue to get into the contest. it makes sense when you think about the fact that these characters are making it in based on nominations. the fact that a flop like wesker has made it into the contest again shows in itself his growth in popularity.

k now rip this unproof-read illogical rant apart.

Now let's see Samus get 90% on Yuri, Riku break 40% on Frog, Ganondorf get 63% on Yuna, and Auron get 65% on Big Boss (because some things NEED to stay the same).

We've been comparing Mithos and Wesker with no fear about how Sephiroth effected them, I believe? That's not the only thing you can do with the stats we have for the Villain Contest, either. Plus, even with Sephiroth matches, it's not like they're all wrong...just gotta wait it out or decide which ones are right for yourself.
