Wesker took steriods dammit, HE'S ON ROIDS! This match hall be looked at like Mega/Link and Seph/Liquid.

He's on the Capcom Plot Virus, get it right. This rabid confusion serves his ultimate purpose.

RE always has SOMEWAY of shocking people.

2002: Jill beat Kirby and Bomberman
2003: Jill loses to Squall, causing a stir
2004: Jil lose to Hayabusa by 27 votes
Spring 2005: Wesker loses to Kefka in a blowout...due to Angel Kefka

sc2k4 was the only itme RE failed to shock.

This is god-awfuo hilarious. The truly funny thing is that Wesker increased his percentage through the day against Luca Blight. He may actually win this match.

The curse of the 2 seed lives on!! :)

If base Link = 2k3 Link (I assume it does), I did my math right, and Wesker's position is right, Lloyd is currently just below Laharl's level.

Me and the other (how many is it now, two?) Wesker fanboys in this thread should throw a hootenanny. If nothing else, he's providing some serious head-scratching for the X-Stats in the early going.

I didn't pick Wesker to win, but I do like him more.

What? I don't recall that. I thought he was over 60% until the day vote. Honestly, if you can't win the day vote against Kefka, you just plain suck with it.

And go!

I can almost hear every Stats topic regular tearing, spitting, or defecating on the Spring Contest stats. =P

I'm not.

In fact, I've tried to come up with an explanation, based on Luca Blight.

Let's say that Magus' 2k3 value carried over to 2k4. Let's also say that Magus SFF'd Luca Blight due to them both being extremely awesome ruthless villains with amazing fights that you hear about a lot and confront halfway through the game, to the tune of, oh, let's say 3%.

Luca Blight's new XS value? 15.36%, among the likes of Laharl and Ultros. Seems fair.

Now, Wesker got 40.26% on Luca. This does not, sadly, put him above Nemmy, but does bring him up to 19.08%. Right around the VFL, and close enough to Nemmy to at least give him a competitive match. I've never bought Wesker being that weak in comparison to Nemesis anyway. So this means that Wesker should have gotten 41.93% on 20XXDF Kefka, and that pictures make a huge difference. That's probably exaggerated, but you can tone down the 3% SFF if necessary. I'm not redoing calculations at 3:30 AM.

At the moment, Lloyd has 53.41% on Wesker. This drops him off at 20.49% on base Link, which means he'd be expected to get 60.15% on Mithos. Not bad for an analysis when I'm half asleep. I'll drop down to 2% SFF tomorrow and see what happens.

Didn't Mithos gain on Kefka during the day, while Wesker didn't do anything?

Wesker vs Kefka was one of the most consistant matches ever. Kefka's spent the entire match between 71% and 69%. Mithos gained about 6% on Kefka from start to finish.

2002:
Jill beats Kirby and Bomberman
Claire Redfeild hangs in there with Tidus

2003:
Jill loses Squall in a shocker

Spring 2004:
RE is weak...

2004:
Jill loses to Hayabusa by 27 votes

Spring 2005:
Nemises = Dr. Wily
Wesker loses to Kefka in a blowout.. due to angel picture

2005:
Wesker is.... keeping up with Lloyd Irving
Leon whails on Freeman, then bows out to Megaman.

Pretty sure it was MasterMage who just said, (well basically) why would that pic help so much if it's not even there for the majority of the game? Picture factor is minimal at best.

As for today. Perhaps Mithos had as much support from ToS as anyone was ever going to get.

People seem to be more impressed with Wesker than they are disappointed with Lloyd. I'm not quite sure why this would be so...?

Lloyd is new, after all.

As for the validity of the Villain Contest stats, I'm gonna postpone judgement. Because if you judge now, you'd be judging based on your prior distribution of expectations, which is iffy.

Because it's actually HIM. When you have pictures used that aren't ever actually seen in-game, that can't help you unless it looks bad-ass...and Lettuce Kefka is about as bad-ass as genital warts.

WAIT! I've got it! I've solved our problem!

CJayC just had him listed as "Wesker" in the Spring Contest. People think that Luca Blight and Kefka are facing a cat.

Now that he has his full name listed, BOOM! Name recognition increases, and Wesker goes up.

yeah, I'd say my Kratos > Diablo pick is out the damn window. heck, it looks stupid. the only explanation I can think of is that all TOS fans vote TOS over anything else and there's less fans than I thought. I can't imagine Lloyd equalling Mithos.
