Would Zero doing worse than expected really affect Sonic/Mega Man? I mean, they both faced him.....
Well, it might make Mega Man weakening last year look more reliable if Zero weakened, too.

I'm guessing this is how it goes..
Zero lost to Mega Man, who lost to Link. Zero's % on 2k4 Link depends on whether or not Link's match against Mega Man was legit or not. The better he basically does, the more "SFF" he supposely suffered...at least for me.
Though..who knows..maybe the Ninja pic really is doing something. Or maybe Zero's value and Mega Man's value is at the right places.

Funny how Zero got the board vote against Ryu, isn't it? From what I
remembered in the past, Zero usually didn't do so great with the board,
and Ryu Hayabusa started off strong against Jill and Sora last year.
I guess it shows how much hype affects Board 8, eh? =P

Based off of what? Scorpion arguably stayed even, and we haven't seen Protoman again since he got decimated by Zero.

Zero's matches did cause Scorpion's and Vercetti's extrapolated
standings to increase ever-so-slightly from the previous year, but it's
pretty negligible.

Zero seems to be increasing in percentage again. He's above 65.5% now,
but was below 65% a while back. Keep growing so you don't fall too far
below 65% with the day vote!
(I predicted Zero with 65% in the Oracle)

Scorpion is indeed correct, then we were all doomed from the beginning
as Ness would be stronger than Vercetti.

While it's still too early to say, this could bode well for Ganon;
Scorpion got 37.16% against Zero in 2k3, and the 2k4 stats had Scorpion
projected to get 46.61% on Ryu Hayabusa last year...but basing off of
what Ryu has right now (34.55%) and assuming Zero stayed constant from
2k3 to today, Scorpion would get 53.53% against Ryu Hayabusa now,
putting him at 22.1% on Link 2k4. From there, that means Auron 2k4
should be at 28.66%, just below Bowser...and Ganon > Bowser
(depending on if you believe in the Villain Contest, they're either
close together or spread pretty far apart, your call, but Ganon >
Bowser still)...
...let me remind you it's way too early to tell though.

*looks at the BOP and Guru contest results*
It's pretty obvious that the general expectations were almost competely off base and not something to go by.

Point taken, I'm just saying we have some more definite proof that
there was a good amount of SFF to account for. While Ness/CJ was almost
certainly proof of it, this match (barring a huge swing) WILL certainly
prove it.

Because smurf has sonic winning the entire contest. Sonic over Megaman feels a lot more likely to me now, but megaman is still the favourite. I don't have any regrets over picking sonic to win that match.
