If you have to dig that deep into the XStats to come up with that, it is bound to fall, HARD. Do you mind telling us what actually comes out of that so we can see how Magus overperformed against Link? (If he actually did..)

No, it's not bound to fall hard. There is certainly a non-trivial possibility it will fall hard, but it is not bound to. The general rule in the scientific community is if a model of a phenomenon does not give acceptable results, use a more complex model. I've attempted to introduce a (hugely) more complex mathematical model. The way to see if Magus overperformed against Link is to see how he performs against Squall. If he did in fact overperform, Squall will win. If he did not overperform and that match was indicative of his strength, Magus will win easily.

I mean, even if he did, he got SFF'd much harder against Crono.

No, if he overperformed against Link, he was weaker than he appeared to be, which means the apparent SFF in his match against Crono would be less.
