He actually lost a bit against Zero (http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/22?matchnum=1755)

DK would probably be the most relevant...I'll check for it on Ngamer's archives.

Actually...Looking at 2004, Ness gained with the day vote in both of his matches (very slightly against Jak, but almost a full percent against Auron). Vercetti barely changed at all against Max Payne and lost nearly 1% against Zero with the day vote.

Looking at it more closely, Vercetti was at his strongest in the early morning hours against Zero, which is when Ness was at his weakest against Jak. He gradually gained all day against Auron. Vercetti was at his strongest very early in the poll against Max, but once the morning hit, the percentage was very steady.

I've never even played San Andreas before, but I looked at a picture of Ryder, and that's not him in the match picture.

...Does this bode well for CJ if the GameFAQs population has difficulty telling blacks apart? People have been saying that's not CJ all day.

His default outfit is a white tanktop with blue jeans, that's about it.

I just gave him a white shirt, dog tags, green jacket and camo pants. I didn't "gangsta" him up, just enough to distinguish him.

I would go with the white beater. It's what most trailors have him in as well as game reviews I've seen on T.V, along with other things shown on Tech T.V.

I've never played SA, and I know that you can fully customize him, but I think the CJ with a shaved head and white beater is the most recognizable CJ.

Huh? What does it have to do with telling blacks apart? The problem is that a lot of GTA characters in-game look WAY different than they do in the official GTA art. Look at Mercedes in Vice City... her art doesn't look like her in-game model. There are more, but I don't have Vice City or San Andreas in front of me right now.

It didn't stop Ceej from using one for the character profile page. It would be perfectly fine to use in-game models similar to the ones you see in the commercial and magazine ads and reviews. It's not really the CLOTHES that matter for CJ.... No matter what he's wearing, his in-game model is still recognizable.

Personally, I have my CJ medium built with a low cut or braids, usually with slacks and a button up shirt. The wife beater got played out....

There is one good thing that can come out of a CJ win (besides a point for me), we will get an answer to how strong Mario really is fairly early.

Well, apparently, Vercetti has no official artwork, so he had no choice. Still, he used in-game battle models of Squall and Tidus in the first round last summer.

What would cause such an increase in votes? Gamespot? If it is, Gamespot isn't as pro X-Box as I thought.

Not like Xbox support would help her yet anyways...though it's still interesting to see Joanna boost herself when the Xbox vote generally come into play(notice that I'm not giving credit to said-vote).

You're just basing that on the board. Tidus had 70% of the brackets behind him. I'd hardly consider that highly debated to the casual bracket maker.

I also see the board being much more likely to rally and garner more votes than your casual bracket-maker. I'm taking devil's advocate in this case, keep in mind.

Ness looks silly, CJ ain't much better, Zero/Ryu looks awesome, Lloyd looks...uh...and Wesker looks decent. I do think that Ryu's gonna do better against Zero than the stats expect and that Lloyd will impress against Wesker (a doubling is more than possible), which is gonna spark some heavy Zero/Lloyd discussion outside of this topic.

Actually a good question, though I don't know if either would get an advantage worth noting.

I just got to thinkin', since we've talked about Terra and Kefka likely gettin' better pictures with the new pic-format...this can affect CATS's match against MC pretty good, too. From the Villain Contest, either CATS got a nice boost from the face-pic, Ansem heavily over-performed against Ganon, or Ganon dropped alot and Sephiroth dropped even more...your call.

Now, of course, CATS isn't gonna win, and he'd be super-lucky to prevent a tripling...but CATS could possibly make MC not look as impressive as he should until DK or Crono.
