Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

I'm one of the greater Perfect Dark fans out there. Still only done 4 missions on Perfect Agent, though. The 3 beginning levels and the one on Air Force 1 as I was trying to unlock a cheat.

I really don't want to attempt Chicago. Way too many guards and FBI agents.

Ness and CJ's going to be anticlimatic after the first hour.

The first round is so ****ing overrated.

How is a first round that most people are calling the easiest first round we've had overrated? The strength in this contest is that the difficult matches are, for the most part, later, just like they should be.

Besides, the first round is pretty fun when you take upsets. How the hell do you know if a major upset or... *checks bracket* three won't occur?

Shortly afterwards, all from memory: "I'll begin at once. Goodbye."

"Help, intruder! Security, help me!"

Jo: "I've got a password problem, and you're the man to help me with it."

"I... I'm logging in now. ...Right, I... I'm in."

The first round is so ****ing overrated.

I agree... people are already calling Mario the 2k5 champ after one match against someone who hasn't even been IN the contest yet. Link vs. Cloud is another story because it directly compared the top 2 characters against a common opponent. It's similar to the WHOAMGs that Snake got for his victory over Tanner and Mega Man's blowout victories (not comparing Joanna Dark to Tanner, I'm just talking about the after effects).

http://www.gamefaqs.com/shared/sum05/b01.jpg

That picture brings me pure bliss. Not only is it two of my top 10 favorite characters going head to head, but Ryu FINALLY gets the picture that he deserves. That picture kicks insane amounts of ass. I'm not saying this would have changed the outcome of Ryu/Sora last year, but you can't say that Ryu didn't at least DESERVE to have this picture last year. Those DOA pics were terrible....

Sam Fisher vs Donkey Kong is being vastly overlooked..

The DK that struggled against Ayea Brea vs a Sam Fisher fresh off Chaos Theory that is on nearly EVERY recent console..The combined CT numbers are well over one million _-.

I still have DK in my bracket but SF vs DK could be a possible doozy _-.

From last topic, since the other one is about to close....

I don't like the GTA pics that CJayC is using. I think an in-game picture would work better for CJ. Yes, the loading screen pictures LOOK better and all, but he's far more recognizable with his in-game form. I NEVER dress CJ like that in the game... I honestly didn't even know that picture was him. I thought it was OG Loc... <_< Isn't CJ the one leaning against the car with the wife beater on? Or is that Cesar?

hm. can someone give an actual reason for higher vote totals favouring Square characters? and if someone says "look at 2k3" I'll say "so?" seems like a coincidence to me unless someone can give me an actual reason for this line of thinking.

Okay, after you're done looking at SC2K3, look at SC2K4 and see Square performing at a lower level.

I'm well aware of this. that still doesn't explain why higher vote totals mean better results for Square characters.
