Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

Go to metalgearsolid.com, go to the official Snake Eater site, then click on "Secret Theater." You'll have to answer some trivia questions in order to enter first though.

I wonder what kind of stuff from MGS3 that MGS4 will incorporate? I can't see the camo index, since the sneaking suit is as big a part of Solid Snake as David Hayter is. Maybe eating, but I doubt it, since Snake never had to eat in previous games. I really could see the cure menu working though.

Is it true MGS 4 is going be after MGS 2? That just kind of makes me worried. I loved the story of MGS and Snake Eater, but I hated it in Sons of Liberty.

Well, there's the whole theme of "No place to hide," which has me very intrigued. Plus, Solid Snake will finally be the main character again. I'm hoping we'll finally learn who the Patriots really are.

I'm really hoping for a climactic final showdown between Ocelot and Snake, too. The confirmation of Naomi Hunter as being part of the game gives me the feeling that...

*POSSIBLE MGS SPOILERS, JUST TO BE SAFE*

...Snake may finally succumb to FOXDIE.

Yeah. Confirmed characters are Solid Snake (lead), Raiden, Ocelot, Meryl, Naomi, Vamp, and Otacon. Big Boss's corpse will also play a role.

Leonhart, what's the latest info on it since E3?

Metal Gear Solid 4 will take place after the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Hideo Kojima has stated that unlike MGS2 and MGS3, Solid Snake will indeed be the main character. He's also said that the "no place to hide" theme does not imply that the trademark stealth gameplay of the Metal Gear series will be abandoned; instead, he suggests that many traditional ways of sneaking and hiding will change and that players will have to find new ways of using stealth. Walls may be destroyed, exposing Snake to the enemy or elements such as trucks and crates may move. He has also commented that "the graphics and sound will rival anything Hollywood does," and that he is planning to hire psychiatrists to emphasise a "mental battle" between Snake and his enemies, so that "who controls the fear can decide the outcome."

It's believed that the game will utilize a new over-the-shoulder third-person camera system as opposed to the top-down camera used in the previous three Metal Gear Solid games. An experimental version of this camera system will be included in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.

If I could, I would come through my monitor, into your monitor, and then proceed to slap you silly for insulting me with Metal Gear... stuff.

Unfortunately, I cannot do anything like that. However, what I can do is answer that question far better than you did. David Hayter, in all his Solid Snake wonder, said,

"Heroic Mario's taste is impeccable. None have ever obtained such a level of greatness and perfection like he has."

There. All better.

Plus, there's the whole mystery of the baby that Raiden is holding. Is it his, or is it Olga's? I'm interested to see what role Meryl will take up, especially since she and Snake have parted ways.

Not to mention, I really want to be able to kill off Vamp once and for all.

I'm leaving for a two-week vacation the weekend before the contest starts, so I'm going to have to get my bracket in early. Let me know where I can send it in; I don't think I'll be making any changes to it now.

There are obviously remains. Otherwise, MGS1's plot becomes completely pointless. And the corpse of Big Boss is shown on the MGS4 promotional poster, so apparently there is one.

I forget if you could equip one at that point in the game, but if you're using a Yo-Yo or a Slingshot, then that's the problem. Yo-Yos and Slingshots have a natural 1/4 chance to miss, where all bats other than the Casey Bat - which is worthless - have a 1/16 chance to miss.

I didn't even think of that. Thanks.

I'm sure you know by now that the UFOs and Spinning Robos have beams that cause colds. Keep your PP high so you can use Healing Alpha when necessary, or simply have a few Cold Remedies in stock. There are a few static Magic Butterfly spawning points in the Valley. If you find one and "use" the butterfly to restore 20 PP, you can go off screen and come back and another butterfly may have appeared.

The problem isn't the Cold so much as it was me missing. If I could take out the enemies reliably without having to resort to Rockin, I'd be fine.

Territorial Oaks are a waste of time and effort, since they explode when you kill them. Just run if you see one.

...why? They only cause like 35 damage when they die. That isn't so bad.

After defeating the boss in Happy Happy Village (not the Sanctuary boss), the broken bridge at the beginning of PRV is fixed, making traveling to Twoson a lot easier.

Thank GOD.

Stop sucking. :P

Oh shut up. I far from suck at RPGs =p

Oh yeah. Have you been Mushroomized yet, Ulti? :)

One of the coolest status effects ever. I like how the directional input shifts.

By the way, what does the T Oak's Brainshock do?
