Oh, I see.
...So Vice City sold more overseas than in the States? You sure about that?

Between Europe and Japan? Yes, it's not hard to believe two territories combined to sell more than one.

Japan's sales of GTA are basically negliable. I believe it never breaks more than 150.000 there.

It just seems odd to me. GTA doesn't seem like a game that would sell
millions upon millions outside of America. I could be wrong though.

Japan is not interested in GTA nearly as much as America or Europe, but it sells far more than that.

It's hard to imagine the board goin' worse than it did then, heh. Only
if Vercetti/Kefka's decided by, say, less than 500 votes could that
happen...

Ya know, looking at how the outrage was for Squall/Luigi, Tidus/Bowser
could be equally bad or worse. Pretty confident the board's opinion is
Squall > Tidus and Bowser >or= Luigi...then Tidus/Bowser would be
alot closer than Squall/Luigi, too.

The only one of my favorites put in the position to put a dent in this
contest is Bowser. One could make an argument for Sonic, but him
beating Tifa wouldn't cause THAT much of an uproar. And I doubt he will
beat Mega Man, so Sonic's performance will probably be meh at best.
Zero and Knuckles were completely shafted in this contest. What a waste.... Zero should have been placed somewhere in the Devil division. Knux would have been better off in Kratos'(GoW) spot (although Knux/Snake looms in front of him again) or Laharl's position (Knux/Yoshi is okay).

he'll go on to face Snake then lose but, that gives Ryu his first elite

I'm mostly rooting for Vercetti to see if this board will go up in flames worse than it did when Squall beat Luigi.
Seriously doubt it. The board went up in flames that time because nobody, NOBODY, expected it. Kefka may be the most popular upset pick in the entire contest (once again, I ask, how?), but Vercetti winning is at least expected, if uncool.

SC2K5 bracket: Samus over Snake, Crono over Megaman, Samus over Crono; Link over Sephiroth

Call me crazy, but I'm starting to get a teeny bit worried about
Knuckles. Every time I look at the numbers, it keeps getting more and
more likely that Knuckles will come close to Magus.

Just a thought... you know how the ToC Sephiroth match lists "2005
champ"? Well, in the event that someone picks 2005 champ to win, would
they get the points regardless of who beats Seph in the event of that
upset, or only if the character they picked as champion does?

KNUCKLES may be pretty consistent. Magus? We have NO idea... Knuckles would never get 34% on Link though...
*Feels like starting something*
For all we know, Magus may have been to Link what Frog was to Snake. Massive bandwagon support for a popular character new to the contest. Discuss. <_<

Magus is consistent in that the stats were adjusted to make him look consistent. >_>
Really though, the amount Crono SFFed him was roughly equal to the amount Mario SFFed Bowser, which given the relative strengths of Crono and Mario seems to indicate that Magus was pretty consistent, at least in reference to Bowser.
Assuming, of course, that Chrono Trigger SFF and Mario SFF are roughly equal... <_<

Speaking of Magus, he lost points in my book for ALLOWING Crono to SFF
him to that degree. You would think that someone who did so well
against Link would be strong enough to prevent getting SFFed. The
Crono/Magus relationship ended up being more like Link/Ganondorf than
Cloud/Sephiroth. I wonder if that would play any factor in his matches
against Squall or Vincent?

Well I certainly agree with you there; but Ganondorf and Bowser were
both SFFed even more, so I don't think it detracts from him too much.

Well, we don't have sure-fire proof that he ISN'T consistent...but he's more than arguable.

FF8 better be one of the greatest games ever conceived then. Not just gameplay-wise, either; the game better have the ability to turn anything it touches into gold.
