SC2K5 Nominations: Squall, Tidus, Terra, Serge, Zidane, Revolver Ocelot, Tifa Lockheart, Kerrigan, Leon Kennedy, Lloyd Irving

Personally, I think he's got 53/47 first round loss to Knuckles written all over him. Since, you know, that's what Knux does, beating middle of the road FF characters.

I've gone on record saying Knuckles would be Zidane's equal...I can certainly believe Knuckles beating Zidane 53/47 though since Vivi and Kuja are such cluster****s in terms of reasoning why they're so strong/weak. Zidane could almost be anywhere in-between them...heck, he could be above Vivi if we're not careful; we still haven't had any hero of a game be convincingly weaker than the villain or side-kick of the same game, for what it's worth.

So I come home expecting a bracket after nearly hitting a car backing out without looking and narrowly avoiding a dumbass riding in the middle of the street on his bike. I'm disappointed, and not just in the low intelligence of the people living in my area. Ah well, maybe a fight against The End will calm me down.

A fight against the godfather of sniping won't calm you down, especially if you do it the way you're "supposed" to. That fight is tense.

And in Ceej's defense, there are some good SFF matches out there. He just picked the wrong ones.

Nah. It is THE greatest platformer ever, bar none.

I've put the villain contest standings up. Pics should be up...sometime.

Aprosenf:
In other words, the model says that Link increased by 6.20% from 2k3 to 2k4

Pretty close to previously calculated values. More robustness, which is good.

Slowflake:
how do you think Zidane would perform?

Pretty close to fodder. Stronger than Kuja by a good bit, but still nothing worth mentioning, and not remotely close to Vivi.

Squall

Tidus

I had the weirdest dream last night. The bracket came out, but the entire contest was only ten matches long. In the first round, all 64 characters were put into eight matches. The the Elite 8 was another match. And then we had the final.

Yeah, insomnia sucks. When you actually do get some sleep, your dreams are ****ing strange.

I've played all six of those games, and are all really great games. It is sad that so few people here have played them.

And on a side note, check out what today's poll results were after I voted in them:

Yeap, so that's my official theory, double elimination bracket. That could explain why it's taking so long... because the format of the bracket making would have to be different. Then again... it probably wouldn't be that difficult to change that. It'd take a long freaking time, too, if that were the case.

What? I haven't posted in this stats topic and I had the urge to... this suspense is killing me!

Oh, no, I didn't notice that. That's bizarre. The HTML proves it:

input type="radio" name="opt" value="1" Yes, I've had one for ages
input type="radio" name="opt" value="1" Yes, I just recently got one
input type="radio" name="opt" value="2" No, but I will for Zelda
input type="radio" name="opt" value="3" No, but maybe someday
input type="radio" name="opt" value="4" No, and I doubt I ever will

(Angle brackets and line breaks removed because the board thinks my HTML is not well-formed, stupid board)

Yeah, I'm hoping it's going to be that way too. Perhaps one of them as a 1 seed in the first division, and the other as a 2 seed in the 4th. Opposite ends of the bracket, and no possible way to see a Mario/Crono rd. 4 unless they make it to the final.

Once again, it changes nothing. Mario would be a 2-seed (hey, why not a 15?) in the second division, and Crono a 1-seed in the third, and they still couldn't meet before the finals. I'm amazed some people still didn't grasp this simple concept.

Last year you all whine that the bracket sucked, this year when CJayC takes his time, you whine that it takes too long.

No wonder why CJayC never posts.

On a side note, I h ave a question for anyone who has played Tecmo Super Bowl on an emulator. When you play through a season, does the autosave feature still work? I don't want to have to start all over every time I close the program.
