I don't understand how any algorithm could come up with this result, unless you reduced Crono's percentage in 2k2 based on the "3000 cheat votes" thing.

Mario beat Bowser handily the way Crono did so to Magus, but Bowser is ahead of Magus by quite a bit...of course, that's all assuming no SFF, and I can't see Bowser being truly ahead of Magus.

Solid Snake would struggle to break 35% on Sephiroth. Book that.

He would, however, make a strong showing against Crono, Samus, or Mario.

Crono: 52,517 (52.93%)
Solid Snake: 46,697 (47.07%)

From there, Crono's arguably gained every year while Solid dropped from 2k3 to 2k4...as of the 2k4 stats, a 20XX-adjusted Solid Snake would get 41.45% against Crono while 37.31% would be all Solid would get against Crono if he stays unadjusted. While we don't know what either of those two will do this year, it's possible that trend could continue, thus making it even harder for Solid Snake to stay above 40% against Crono.

I know Liquid and Solid aren't joined at the hip and I know this theory is only based off of one match (that didn't even involve Solid, no less), but I'm gonna throw it out there...is there any chance that the Snakes (Solid, Liquid...hell, throw Naked in too) under-perform against the highest-tier characters? The only match I can bring up is Seph/Liquid, where that incredible nose-dive had taken place. That's certainly not enough evidence to conclude this theory, nor am I even buying it myself, but it's a thought worth thinking about: is it possible that Solid/Liquid are like Tidus in that sense, under-performing against the biggest players?

I'd do Tifa or Aeris, but at some point there are just too many ff7 characters. I'd be surprised if Tifa or Aeris were more than a couple of percentage points apart. same with Magus, really, though at least Magus has a fanbase. I guess I'll do Zelda, and I was planning on doing Zidane until Kuja got slapped around by a glove.

I guess I can do Raiden, though I've never really played a MGS game. and instead of Terra, I've got Mog - if Vivi > Zidane, then it's quite possible Mog > everyone else in ff6.

Well Aprosenf, that's a very ambitious undertaking :) Good luck on that. You're dealing with a lot of complexity. Not to mention you'll be highly lacking in degrees of freedom with so many variables.

And the SFF factors will be tough to deal with unless you just fudge their data.

There is no way Mog > all the other FFVI characters. Mog isnt even one of the main characters, but has the importance of... Relm. Its cute and in a lot of games, but its never a really big deal. A chocobo would probably kill it.
