And now...Lavos will almost undoubtedly rank lower than Kefka, and Mother Brain will be even further off. I would guess that Kefka would end up beating MB as badly as Diablo beat Ridley. If that's the case, it ought to be close.

Despite his large inaccuracies in the past rounds, I think HM is right on this one. I also expect Diablo to win with no less than 52%. I would take Bison over Kefka, despite the numbers he put up against Wesker. Wesker is a weakling.

Incidentally, if Ridley = Mother Brain and we're looking at 2k4 Seph and adjusted 2k4 Kekfa, then Diablo loses with 46.78%. Ridley needs to be able to get 53.22% on Mother Brain for Diablo to be even with 2k4 Kefka. Considering all the talk that's been going around that MB > Ridley and my guess that Kefka got a nice mid sized boost (as shown by his performance on Wesker), I'm quite confident in Kefka.

Yeah, I'd take Bison over Kefka, I'm actually with HM on this one. And for the record, I don't think Bison's stronger than Ken, I'd take Ken over Kefka too.

After seeing the supposed dive that Liquid took when he was set up to face Solid Snake in the Sweet Sixteen, I'm almost wondering if he didn't overperform against Frog and if Ken didn't overperform against Samus in 2002 because of a possible setup against Ryu.

If this is 2k4 Sephiroth, then Tenpenny would beat the following:
Captain Olimar
AiAi
Mr. Resetti
Dirk the Daring
Giygas [CATS]
Serious Sam
Ms. Pac-Man
Mr. Driller
Tanner

Notice the lack of Pyramid Head, and only the possibility of Giygas. Pretty pathetic.

Based on the current percentage, Tenpenny is either at 9.35% on Link (2004 Sephiroth), which puts him below Gabe Logan. Or he's at 9.98% on Link (2003 Sephiroth), right below Kane.

Either way, Tenpenny would get single digit percentage against Link.

He's stronger by less than a percent, but still stronger.

Yuna is almost undoubtedly stronger now, what with FFX-2 and Golden Sun dropping off the face of the earth, but still. Either way, based on the stats, you still have to hit Ramza and Wario before you get to Yuna.

Question is, would Claire be as strong as the 2002 stats, even adjusted for WDF, would indicate? After all, Jill's been falling every year since the first contest...

I'd take Kefka. He'd be expected to get 24.59% on Sephiroth if his 2k4 value is correct, and I think it's higher than that. He made Luca look like one of the worst characters in the contest (just slightly above Giygas [Ganondorf], and about a percent higher than OT and PH), which I don't think Luca is. I don't know how much of a boost he got (certainly not all the way up to 27.75% as Luca suggests), but it could be enough to take out this pathetic shadow of Liquid Snake that we're seeing today.

Liquid is also closing in on a full 10% drop over his previous contest appearance, by far the worst in contest history. Tidus, Shadow, Lara, and Sam were the previous holders of that dubious honor with between 7-8% drops for all of them.

More fun/worthless calculations:

If Sin = Lavos, and we're dealing with SC2K3 Sephiroth here, and Sephiroth ends up with 76%, here's the estimated strengths of a bunch of characters:

LSnake: 23.86%
Lavos: 21.18%
Mother Brain: 18.73%
Robotnik: 21.75%
Sin: 21.18%
Master Hand: 17.62%
Kuja: 16.30%

Coincidentally, Dr. Robotnik vs. LSnake would then have a near-identical result as Dr. Wily vs. Revolver Ocelot. :P
