I think all of us forget from time to time, that we're on the Internet and the majority of people live in different time zones.

well, good job by Bison for keeping the lead for 4 hours. is there any doubt that Street Fighter 2 simply rules the early morning hours? it must still be huge in Europe, heh.

but, Diablo is quickly building his lead, and i doubt that Bison will be able to come back from this point. i believe Diablo was able to increase his lead by quite a bit once the daytime hours started.

this reminds me of Ridley/Diablo now, where Ridley would hold him for a little while and then Diablo would just get like 50 votes in a row.

before this contest, I would never have said Bison > Ridley, but that sure looks to be the case. I didn't think anyone actually liked Bison.

Phediuk, the most popular boss in the Metroid series is Ridley, and even if by some miracle Mother Brain ranks ahead of him in the stats, it won't mean anything to me. You can't call Metroid a cult series one day and then a statement like that the next day. It leads me to believe that you don't know much about the series.

Maybe I completely lucked out then, although I likely died a few times considering I vaugely remember the boss.

*spoilers ahead*

That spoilers sign is just to cover my ass just in case. Anyways I'm going to sound sort of stupid since I don't remember any town names, the boss I had the most trouble with was at the end of that outside area just outside that city of people rejected by the floating city people (could I be any more vague?). That boss gave me a lot of trouble, to the point where I had to level heavily.

By the way, it seems that within a year, everyone completely forgot what happened to Street Fighter 2. Street Fighter characters tend to kick ass with the early part of the vote, then die down later. It happened to Street Fighter 2, it happened to Ryu against Sonic, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ryu percentage drop a little during the day against Dante as well? Hell, I even vaguely remember Ken doing well against Sonic in 2003 before dropping off. The European vote is a very real thing, but once diabloii.net and the Americans start to get out of bed, I would honestly be shocked if Bison stayed in this match.

I've said it before, but Diablo 2 is the most popular Blizzard game in America, Diablo is on the cover of the games, Diablo is the focal point of the games, his name is the same as the game he stars in, and he's strong enough to win the Ruin Division without any outside support. Once you link to this site from a site that gets 2000 visitors per day, scary things can happen.

I'm aware of that, but I still don't think they're the most *memorable* boss fight. I'm fairly sure memorable was the key word in the discussion.

Let's not bring Sonic into this, Ulti. It's SONIC. They do that all the time.

And the consensus back then as to why SF2 was ahead of SMRPG was that a good chunk of the early voters were European, and SMRPG never came out over there. When America woke up, it took a drastic shift for the worse.

Wow. I certainly never expected it to be this close. I realized that my high prediction certainly might not come through, but Bison was leading for a good long time before. That makes nearly every change to my bracket a good one. But I would imagine that Diablo will continue to pull away from there.

Right, he just held the lead for a more than Diablo ever has. His prediction was that Bison had no chance, which was absolute ludicrous.
