Contest stats and Discussion - Part 126

I never once questioned Hand over Kuja, had it since the first day,
what I have changed, multiple times is Robotnik > Hand, Hand >
Robotnik.
I have Robotnik over Hand locked in, but I'm wishing I had Hand now, if only for the underdog excitement.

...and I realize this match is far from over, Sin gaining 900 on
Robotnik in the last few hours last night, I won't be satisfied until I
see a 1,000+ lead from Hand, and I don't think that's happening.

My "MyWorldIsSNES" alt has the exact same bracket as my main, except
four this four-pack. There, it has Master Hand over Robotnik. I still
have a good shot at a perfect if MH wins, but no money. =\

Thinking about it, I'd be willing to bet that MH has the brackets behind him, and by a lot.
I'll believe it when I see it; I think MH might have 40%...might.

Master Hand has it in the bag. Damn, they'll vote for ANYTHING. As long
as it's not named Ridley, it seems.

game, set, match.
Now the question is, robo or MH?
I believe robo and MH share a more similar fanbase than MH/kuja and robo/sin, so robo and MHs performance against these FF characters are hard to compare.
*most* people say kuja > robo, so MH>robo, but I think some SFF may come into play. Either way, my pick is MH for another match.

Uh, it's my first post in these topics, please don't shoot me if I say something stupid. >.>
Damn, they'll vote for ANYTHING. As long as it's not named Ridley, it seems.
Nah, not really. I think it's more about Kuja's weakness than Master Hand's strength: It's a popularity contest after all, and Kuja is not that well-known. FFIX is not that popular (even on GameFAQs), and people who haven't played it will vote for the character they know. Everyone knows Master Hand. Ridley vs. Diablo is a completely different story, with the non-Nintendo character being more well-known than the Nintendo one.
What puzzles me now is DK vs. Vivi. Not only Donkey Kong is playable in both SSB and SSBM, but he also had his own series and at least one game for each Nintendo console ever made. I can't see how he's less popular than Master Hand, really.
If Nintendo fans really voted for anything, I don't see how they would support Donkey Kong less than Master Hand. Either the Black Mage factor really had a lot of influence in that poll or FFIX fans don't care about Kuja all that much, I guess. =P

And I find it funny that there are only 280 perfect entries left, yet 649 people say they're tied for first in the PotD.

Wasn't FF9 the one with Beatrix?
If so, there's your problem. Kuja doesn't get the full Square vote, he loses the "I only finished disk 1" vote.
Whereas Vivi is known from moment 1, AND he's cute.
Blame Square for not revealing who the true villian is until the end. It's what kills Kefka too.
DK, being an ape, suffers from the "George Bush Ceiling". He'll never get over 50% again. </sarcasm>
