I don't see how that match counts as any evidence of anything at all but Zero having his own fanbase towards Megaman. Raping in a SFF match doesn't show strength of just about any character, neither is coming close to a SFF match.

Anyway, as far as the opening matches for Wily and Robotnik, I think that Robotnik's in for a much tougher fight. I mean...

Wily: Taking on an octopus that was a recurring boss fight in an FF title for the SNES.
Robotnik: Taking on a whale-thing that was the primary villain from an FF title for the PS2.

I don't see why the "Wily hasn't been in a game for a decade" point should be a factor at all in the Ultros match, because Ultros hasn't shown up for an awful long time either. Besides, would it be wise to ignore the release of the anniversary collection?

It's more Deus showing the standard anti-Mega Man bias than anything else. Picking Sonic over Mega Man is little more than flushing points away, which is pretty evident by the Link/MM and Cloud/Sonic comparisons.

Why do people keep saying Wily hasn't been in a game since the 90's? He's the main villain in Battle Network 1 and 3!

I think the anti-Wily crowd just doesn't realize how important Wily is to the Megaman series. He built Zero, and he created the Maverick/Sigma virus. Wily is much stronger than Sigma.

At 13:25, this poll has 37000 votes.

To compare, Bowser-Pyramid Head had 42858 at the same time. Heck, Bowser by himself almost had more votes than this poll.

That's a lot of arguing in such a little time frame. Anyways, I personally would take Mega Man over Sonic, just because it is really hard to ignore the data (all pointing towards an MM victory). I also think that we severely overestimated Sigma, because there is no reason Andross should be anything above fodder. I think this result will give us indication on Dr. Wily, and only from one's assessment of Robotnik in relation to Wily can one garner how this poll affects Robotnik's potential strength.

And since I think Wily and Robotnik would be fairly similar, I am sadly thinking that Sin may have a chance at the mad doctor.

Tediz, Mega Man is my third favorite series. However, I will have to say that Im not as found of the X Series. Like I said, I knew who he was I just had to think about. People unfamiliar with MMX are going to have no clue at all.
