I don't know enough about Albeido, but I would gather that he would defeat both Ghaleon and Luca. Suikoden II just is too obscure to get casual support. As mentioned, the game did not even sell 100k copies, though from the amount it sold and resold on eBay a good amount of people have gotten to experience what a complete badass Luca is. I will definitely be interested to see exactly how some of these matches break out, because a lot of them are cult stud villain vs. less-than-stellar mainstream villain.

He has a pretty good shot, on the contrary. Fact is, the intangible factor will be on his side. We won't be seeing Lettuce Kefka, nor Dee Snider Kefka. No, we will be seeing A KEFKA SPRITE. Hopefully the laughing one.

Now, pictures shouldn't matter that much, but that's the kind of intangible that helps me make a tough decision.

I'd blame that more on the Solid **** pic than the "awesomeness" of a 16-bit frog. However, maybe we can get a better estimate if Kefka got to use it against Ganon (or hell, Luca would work if he somehow won and Kefka got it early).

Dr. Robotnik Vs. Sin:

My first instinct says to pick Robotnik, but once again this match is deceptively hard upon closer examination. Tails=2k3 Yuna, right? I hate to play the proportion game again, but I can see Robotnik being closer proportionally to Tails than Sin would be to Yuna. If this was Seymour it would be a different story entirely. However, part of me doesn't wonder if Sin could actually be more popular than Yuna, but then again I also wonder if Robotnik could be more popular than Tails.

Kuja Vs. Master Hand:

I have Kuja winning this match and the match after and personally think he'll win it with around 56-58%, but I would still LMAO if Master Hand won and will be rooting for him all the way.

I've never played FFIX and Kuja seems like a pretty cool villain, but the fact that Kuja fans are getting upset NOW before the match even starts makes me want to see what happens if Kuja actually does lose.

P.S. I thought I read somewhere that CATS was the final boss of Zero Wing. Do you at least get to fight a spaceship that is under his control? To me, that would count as fighting him.

P.P.S I would like to add that FFX would have beaten SSBM had the poll placement not changed. That is all.

those bottom two characters make me worry a bit. they had very little support on Board 8 and still made the contest. Vergil even managed to pull his way into a #4 seed, despite 75 other characters receiving more nominations from the contest Board. that means he must've had decent support from the casual nominators. after seeing that factored in, i doubt even further that Ghaleon will have a shot at taking down Vergil.

the other one that really bothers me is Sin. especially when you consider this:

97. Jecht - Final Fantasy X (4)

despite Seymour getting considerably more support, Sin still somehow made it in over him. most likely, Ceej probably just didn't allow Seymour in. but that means that Sin STILL made it in, despite losing nominations to both Seymour AND Jecht. i scanned through Tai's topic and hardly anyone nominated multiple FFX villains. a couple did, but most stuck with one or the other. that worries me, because Sin's support must be coming from somewhere, and if it gets that many casual nominations, then chances are that it is gonna drag a lot of casual votes too.

Well, Master Hand is a joke in and of himself, like in the game as well. He gives me cause to think at least one and a half times, because it's not as if he was meant to be a serious villain. A gloved hand is a joke in the game, not just in our contest. So people know he's a joke, yet nominated him anyway - enough times to get him in this contest. What worries me is that people will vote for him despite him being a joke. It's not like a Cats scenario, Master Hand is from a very strong series, and it is possible that series wanted their villain, no matter how jokish, in.

the reason's why i'm paying attention to this a bit are: #1 - the nominations were up longer on Board 8 than on the rest of the site. i'd bet that Board 8 counted for almost a third of the nominations, while it only counts for about 1.5% of the total match vote. #2 - Ceej admitted to screwing around with the seeding last year and the nominations not matching up with the seeds. in this contest, with much fewer characters, i believe the seeding more accurately depicts the total nominations. i mean, Cats a #5 seed? Board 8 had to have influenced the nominations and seedings to a significant degree.

As for Slow's fear for Sin, understandable...but check this out; Dr. Robotnik got a 3-seed by our nomination-sample Tai got, and the casuals kept him at a 3-seed. As for how people likely nominated Seymour and Jecht alot too, I'd bet plenty of people still nominated Shadow too.
