Back to contest discussion, I'm wondering if maybe Albedo might have a chance against Bison. He certainly looks cooler... hmm... I don't really think Albedo has a chance but it might be a good (and fun) upset pick. If only he could have gotten the match against CATS instead of Ansem. It's embarassing that a villain that bad will be advancing while Albedo loses out in the first round.

Furthermore, to HM: I am confident enough that Ridley won’t beat Kefka (in fact, I lean more and more towards Diablo besting him first) that I hereby swear that I will replay FFIX, the worst game the minds of mortals have ever conceived, if I’m wrong. This is about five billion times the amount of torture for me that any sig bet ever could be (and costly, too, since I would have to repurchase it or rent it, thus adding insult to injury). You don't have to reciprocate in kind, because I have no interest in seeing you tortured any more than you will be when your favorite loses. You're too nice of a guy for that, and the satisfaction of Kefka's victory would be quite enough for me.

I think the match pic will matter more for Ridley than for any other character in the contest.

If it was just the names "Diablo" and "Ridley" on the poll, there's no way in hell he'd win. Unless you scan him during his battle in Prime (and scanning him is optional), he's never even named in-game.

However, he is a very recognizable figure within the series. Just about anyone who's played any of the games should be able to recognize his picture. He is featured quite prominently on the cover of Super Metroid, after all.

i just don't know what to do about any of these picks. everything is just so up in the air. i fail to see any reason why bowser has to beat either ocelot or wily in his division. everyone could be potentially stronger than the other. there are so many new characters it's just impossible to tell. the only person that i would say is a 100% lock for the final four is sephiroth which is common knowledge.
