Bah, Kuja goes over Eggman. I'm not even questioning that. Sin is in the same boat as Lavos as both are pretty much boring, bland shells. And while Kuja could've been subjected to the cap last year, Eggman couldn't, and he got beaten by Tails to the contest. I'm thinking Eggman won't be enough of a vote magnet to beat Kuja. Maybe he'll be at Tails' level, but not much higher.

I think you guys are underestimating Robotnik. I currently have him beating Kuja.

My reasoning? Kuja isn't exactly the most popular or well-known character...and if Vivi could only manage an underwhelming win against DK, I don't see how he could be very strong, either.

At the very least, I think we can assume that if Robotnik could beat DK, he can beat Kuja.

He can't be much lower, though. Come on, he's a ****ing legend. Not a hated one like Lara or Crash or a "I just don't care" like Pac-Man. The guy has his fans.

I'm also thinking that Robotnik will get a ton of votes simply for being assosciated with Sonic. If he ends up being to the blue blur like Ganondorf is to Link, then he's got the match in the egg-err, bag.

For the record, I think Robotnik would get about 46% on Tails (29% on Sonic), and that Kuja would get about 36% on Vivi. Those are just my guesses, though.

Ganondorf is the villain that's the furthest away from his lead. Even there, I suspect Ridley will be even further way from Samus.

Even there, I suspect Ridley will be even further way from Samus.

I actually disagree there. I think Ridley will, in fact, be closer to his lead than Ganondorf. Mind you, it won't be by big margins, but I think 17.26% is an extreme that very few others would hit.

I know what you mean Ulti... but I don't think you know what I mean. Sin has a load of story, true, but could it really be considered a villain? I mean, it's pretty much a puppet. Heck, doesn't the game refer to it as Yu Yevon's... wait for it... shell?

Of course, a bad case can be made for Yu Yevon as well, as he's first mentioned 90% through the game.

Vivi, underwhelming against DK? Your argument has lost all credibility.

Yes, it was underwhelming. I was certainly expecting a more decisive win considering that DK is one of the lamest characters ever created and the fact that Vivi is the most popular FFIX character (and also had the might've-existed-might've-not "Black Mage Factor" going for him.) I wouldn't have been impressed with anything under 60% in that match.

Truthfully, anyone in Sin's four pack could win that particular four pack. And Sin vs Kuja, if it happens, is the trap match to defy all trap matches. Auron or Tidus would rip Zidane or Vivi a new one, and if you go all the way down the line, I would pick all of FFX's protagonists to beat their FF9 counterparts. Yet all of a sudden, this is supposed to happen in reverse when discussing the villains? It's a tough call to make. Sin could very well beat Kuja on the backbone of FFX vs FF9 alone.

Please stop using the "he's not well-known" argument when referring to the Playstation Final Fantasy games.

Relatively speaking, of course. I don't know about you, but Kuja is not the first character to pop into my head whenever I think of FFIX. Had it not been for his eerily effeminate appearance, I likely wouldn't have remembered him much at all.

I might as well add in that there's no way Kuja is losing to Sin. Find me someone who actually thinks Sin is a memorable/good/cool character and I'll show you ten someones who don't give a crap about him.

On the other hand, people seem to actually like Kuja. Chances are that if someone's played FFIX, they've played FFX, and will therefore choose the better character.

At the very, very least, Kuja has the pic factor going for him. But that isn't saying much.

I've seen several people with faith in M. Bison, and I honestly have no clue why. Just take a look at Sonic/Ken. Now take a look at Sonic/Ryu. That should give you a good idea of the strength gap between the two. The gap between Ken and Bison is probably much, much larger than the one between Ken and Ryu. Albedo is probably about half of KOS-MOS's strength, maybe 3/4 of her SC2K4 numbers now that XS2 is out. Albedo should take it 60/40, then maybe give Diablo/Ridley a run.
