You say Cloud overperformed against Link because of being constant with Vyse? Meh, maybe it's POSSIBLE, but I wouldn't base anything from a match involving a weak character. Of course, that's not to say they're always inaccurate.

Albedo would destroy Luca Blight. You know, even Gilgamesh might beat Luca Blight, as he's from FF...

Oh, and I wouldn't bet on Ultros doing so well, either...maybe he'd lose to Vile in R1. I know next to nothing about the MMX series, though. Amusing how Kefka would probably win that division...oh, wait, Rufus. Forgot about him. That'd just sicken me to Rufus ahead of Kefka.

Well, I intended to give up GameFAQs after my Illini fell in the title game, costing me my precious account, but I was not counting on a new contest so soon. Apparently still had this alt functional, but will definitely need to level it up so I can search and see saved topics.

As for the contest, I really do hope it is 64 villains, if only because it will make some serious surprises in both the 1st and 2nd rounds, and maybe even a match or two in the 3rd round. We have no idea how much support a guy like Rufus would get (or Ozzie), a 2nd-tier villain from a top tier game. Keeping it to 32 would definitely make for a cleaner bracket and less fodder, but personally I would prefer some fodder-fodder match-ups, sneaking some undeserving antagonists into the next round.

And I'd say that cult characters are much more likely to be constant than others. Their fanbases are much more hardcore and devoted. They're less likely to contain fickle newbie gamers.

If Cloud overperformed the same amount against Link as Sephiroth did, and assuming Sephiroth should've gotten as opposed to 43.35%. I estimated 38.98% for 2002 Sephiroth...so, multiply Cloud's 48.18% by .8992, and you get 43.32%. If Cloud was constant this means '03 Link = 41.93%. Using Mega Man's raw '04 ranking, Mega Man would be expected to receive 38.62% against '03 Link. No joke. However, this would mean 41.46% value for Mario, and 44.34% for Crono.
