Not to knock Ulti, but I think his word will be a lot less destructive this time around.

The only reason I was doing that was because the Summer 2004 bracket sucked, and I was trying to do my best to have some variety among the brackets. What wound up happening that year was pathetic, and now that I look back on things, I wish Master Chief had beaten Frog. This year, I plan on being 100% sincere; at least, I will be once the brackets are locked in place. Revealing all of my picks before lockdown would not be beneficial, because people would copy them.

My DK pick was sincere, by the way. I picked him in my bracket.

And why shouldn't the angry sun get in, he was my worse enemy in that game... I took me years to actually be able to beat the level without using the superwing or the cloud. Everything else was easy, but that angry sun stuck out as the main enemy that I could never defeat. It's possible that I even had nightmares of him when I was younger...

I used to have trouble with Angry Sun before I realized all you had to do was keep running, jump over the Koopas and him and there was nothing to it. Stopping to let him attack is what makes him hard.

I used to have trouble with Angry Sun before I realized all you had to do was keep running, jump over the Koopas and him and there was nothing to it. Stopping to let him attack is what makes him hard.

We all know the fun with the angry sun starts in his second appearance, where... (spoilers)

It shows up in 8-2 if you don't use that sneaky shortcut and you need to dodge it while jumping over three note blocks.

Hmmmm, just some quick thoughts about the contest:

1. I definitely do NOT agree with characters like Dark Samus, Shadow Link, or Mario getting in this contest. Although in PRINCIPLE they are villains, do you honestly think they would get voted for as such? It's not fair to the rest of the contest.

2. I definitely do NOT agree with Magus and Shadow not being allowed in the contest. ESPECIALLY Magus. He is an OPTIONAL character in the game and is the main villain through at least 2/3 of the game. Plus the note that Frog NEVER forgives him and the game gives you the option of KILLING Magus. I mean, if you go by those guidelines, Bowser's just as good as Magus..... Bowser "joins" Mario at a point all for a common interest. Same as Magus. Magus never, at ANY point, LIKES the party. It was just a necessary evil IF he were to join them.

3. I don't care for Sephiroth at ALL and would gladly join any movement to stop him from winning. <_<

4. I wanna see a Robot Master get in. MAINLY Metal Man! Seriously though, there better be at least 4 Mega Man characters in this contest (Sigma, Dr. Wily, Metal Man, and Vile are my fave 4 as of now).

I think DL > Ganon is more certain than DS > Ridley, but I'd make a sig-bet that both would happen if they were to occur.

I'm actually less confident in Dark Link > Ganondorf than in Dark Samus > Ridley. All Shadow Link has is two boss fights and no personality (unless you're counting Four Swords Adventures, he does kind of have a personality in that one). It sounds like Dark Samus is much more of an actual villain. Plus there's a good chance Ganon stands higher than Ridley.

After seeing what Link did to Ganny last year, I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to give Dark Link the nod. Hell, I'd pick Feces Link if he existed.
