Good news, everyone! The Guru site for the GotD season is now 100% updated and ready to rock!

First off, a big round of applause for Angie, Menji, Spike, (and me!), our tireless workers who entered 90% of the brackets this season. (And a golf clap for Wigs, fett, and ngirl, who didn't complete the pages they were assigned but did enter SOME brackets.) All in all we gathered an astounding 250+ entrants for this season- easily a new Guru record!

As for the features on the site, you're probably used to most of them by now, but here's a brief overview in case you want to refresh.

* click any user's name anywhere on the site to see their full bracket

* you can re-sort the main page by score (default), TB, risks, their pick in the current match, Dead/Alive status, or even alphabetically by username- just click the headers

* currently "Today's Pick" is pointing to Match 12, Okami vs NMH. if you'd rather see everyone's pick for the next match, change the dropdown to "13" and hit the button- now you see all the picks for ToS vs RE5!

* any pick anywhere on the site that goes against the Guru Cookie is rewarded with red text

* speaking of which, the Guru Cookie is a bracket that makes the most "popular" choice for every matchup, based on all 250+ brackets. it's listed in the rankings as though it's an actual person, but that's just for fun (it doesn't actually cost you a position on the ranks if you're currently behind it)


But surely the most popular feature of all are those Guru Stats! You can check them at any time by clicking "Matchup Stats" on top, which takes you to

There's a problem with my bracket, on the site it has Animal Crossing going to round 3 for some reason. My real bracket has it losing in round 2 to Paper Mario. Also MGS3 > Paper Mario.

R/S/E 70-30 over GTA4 despite it looking good last contest? This sounds like Sunshine all over again.

Dead Rising shouldn't be 70-30 against TWEWY, even with the sequel coming out.

Skies of Arcadia...I really don't trust whatsoever. Surprised it's so heavily favored.

Chrono Chross a massive favorite over DQ8? Definitely a debatable match, but 78%?

TTYD with 80% against Gears of War? I mean, I took it too, but GoW didn't do *that* badly last contest.

SMS the overall Round 2 winner...heh.

God of War with 80% of the Round 2 picks? A direct loss to its opponent swayed so few people?

San Andreas is being overrated, too. Golden Sun got this...!

Persona 4 the Round 2 winner? I'm not sure why people would mass pick it over TWEWY and not Persona 4. They should have about the same strength.

I'm surprised by the rather large amount of people who were complaining to us about their brackets not being entered yesterday. I'm also surprised by the lack of even the simplest "thanks" from anyone for the brackets now being entered. You know, the only reason I enter these brackets is because I'm fast at it, and I figure it's something I can do now that I've lost interest in user contests. I don't even think anyone knows that I entered about half the brackets single-handedly last contest.
